(MENAFN - Arab Times) Ternational police sports union (ipsu) chairman sheikh ahmad al-nawaf al-ahmad al-sabah has won another four-year term of office. the move was taken during the meeting of the ipsu general assembly held on wednesday which was attended by 54 world police sports federations. speaking to reporters following the meeting sheikh ahmad who is also chairman of kuwait police sport federation thanked the general assembly for trusting him by granting him another term of office.

he vowed to continue with doing his best to revamp the ipsu develop its activities and hold more international police sports competitions. sheikh ahmad said he will meet international olympic committee (ioc) chairman thomas bach soon in a bid to regain the ipsu's ioc seat. five sports figures from the uae brazil jordan tunisia and guinea were also elected members of the ipsu technical committee.
