EU lifts ban on Philippines-based Cebu Air


(MENAFN) The European Union (EU) has decided to lift a ban on Philippine carrier Cebu Air and all Swaziland-based airlines, Khaleej Times reported



The EU said that the improvement of air safety in the Philippines justifies allowing Cebu Air to fly in member states



The Decision to allow Cebu Air to operate in the EU marks the second of its kind regarding a 2010 prohibition against all carriers from the Philippines



The European Transport Commissioner said: "When countries do what it takes to ensure the safety of their aviation industry, it is important that the EU recognises these efforts.
