Global economy to grow 4.7 percent this year


(MENAFN) World Trade Organization said that global commerce is predicted to grow by 4.7 percent in 2014, according to Arab News



Asia's economy is expected to remain as strong and positively affect growth rate despite the slowing expansion of China



WTO chief Roberto Azevedo said: "For the last two years trade growth has been sluggish. Looking ahead, if GDP (gross domestic product) forecasts hold true, we expect a broad-based but modest upturn in 2014, and further consolidation of this growth in 2015.



The WTO expects trade growth to pick up pace next year, reaching 5.3 percent
