(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) w York April 15 - UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon made a phone call with Ukrainian Acting President Oleksandr Turchynov to call for restraint and for a direct and constructive dialogue between Kiev and Moscow. The UN chief will convey the same message to the Russian side UN Spokesman Stephane Dujarric told the daily press briefing. In his call to Turchynov on Monday Ban also expressed his "great concern" over the ongoing disturbances and notably the reports of civilians being armed and activity by armed groups on both sides. He commended the Ukrainian authorities for exercising restraint and expressed hope that this restraint would continue in an effort to de-escalate the situation and find a peaceful solution.
