Qatar Funds New National Lebanese Library Project


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) irut April 14 - The State of Qatar and the Republic of Lebanon signed a protocol of an agreement based on which HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani will grant the Lebanese Ministry of Culture $25 million to fund a new national library. Qatari Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Hamad Mubark Almari signed the agreement on the Qatari side . While on the Lebanese part Minister of Culture Remon Ariji signed the agreement. For his part Ariji stressed the importance of signing the agreement that will fund the new national library project. He added that the cooperation reflected the strong cooperation ties between the two countries and their keenness on cultural exchange
