More Than 200 Feared Killed As Blast Rocks Nigerian Capital


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) no April 14 - More than 200 were feared killed after a major explosion rocked the outskirts of Nigerian capital Abuja witnesses and local media said Monday. The explosion occurred at a busy public transport hub at a major road in the neighbourhood of Nyanyan which leads to the capital's commercial centre. At least 200 bodies were lying on the blood-spattered grounds of the bus station some of them beyond recognition reported local newspaper Premium Times. Dozens of busses full of commuters including about 12 government-owned vehicles were destroyed in the blast. Emergency agencies had been deployed while soldiers police and fire fighters had cordoned off the area
