Qatar Airways to Increase Flights to Moscow


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) ha April 14 - Qatar Airways (QA) will upgrade services and increase flights to Moscow from September 1 the Qatari carrier said Monday. The Doha-headquartered national airline of the State of Qatar will increase its frequency to 14 from 12 per week and add new aircraft to help meet the growth in demand to the Russian capita QA said. The airline will introduce its newly upgraded A320 to replace the current mixed fleet of A321 and A320s as well as a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The increase in frequency and aircraft capacity will bring the total number of Business Class seats up to 476 and Economy Class seats to 4928 per week an increase of 188 and 1328 seats respectively from the current number servicing the route QA said. Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker said "We established our Moscow route just over 10 years ago and since then we have watched it grow steadily. "I'm very pleased that we are able to meet our customers demand by increasing not only the frequency of flights per week but also introducing one of the most state-of-the-art aircraft in the world to the route." QA has taken delivery of 12 of its 60 Dreamliners and has been flying the aircraft from Doha to Dubai London Munich Stockholm Riyadh Jeddah Zurich Frankfurt Copenhagen Oslo Delhi Bangalore and Brussels
