14 Taliban Militants Killed in Afghanistan


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) bul April 14 - At least 14 Taliban militants were killed and six others were injured during military operations by Afghan security forces in the past 24 hours. The ministry of interior affairs of Afghanistan following a statement said the operations were conducted jointly by Afghan national police Afghan national army and Afghan intelligence-directorate of security operatives. The statement further added that the operations were conducted in Kabul Nangarhar Kandahar Maidan Wardak Logar and Helmand provinces of Afghanistan in the past 24 hours according to the Afghan (Khaama Press). Interior ministry said at least 20 Taliban militants were also injured during the operations and various types of weapons and explosives were confiscated. Afghan national police forces also confiscated 2 improvised explosive devices (IED) during operations in Laghman and Helmand provinces. Interior ministry said the improvised explosive devices (IED) were recently planted by Taliban militants to carry out insurgency attacks
