(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) iro April 14 - Egyptian Defense Minister Lieutenant General Sidqi Subhi has received a telephone call from his US counterpart Chuck Hegel. The two sides discussed a number of security issues the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported. It quoted Pentagon spokesman John Kirby as saying that the two sides also discussed the threats of terrorist groups in the region and the importance of holding free and fair elections during the transitional period which is currently taking place in Egypt
