Thirteen People Killed in Mudslide in Tajikistan


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) shanbe April 13 - At least 13 people including 6 children have been killed as a result of a mudslide in southeastern Tajikistan the Ministry of Emergency said today. Spokesman for the ministry Arif Nazemov said the mudslide occurred on Saturday night in a mountain village near the border with Afghanistan after heavy rain continued for several days. Nazemov did not rule out the increase in the number of victim because the landslide destroyed dozens of houses. In May 2010 24 people were killed and about 1500 houses were destroyed as a result of severe floods
