Oman- Music enthusiasts hold show in Salalah

(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Swaranjali, a programme on South Indian music was held in Salalah recently. The event was organised by Friends of Salalah, a group of six friends who love music.

S Anilkumar, an event organiser said, ''This was the first time that we held a function on such a scale, and the response was tremendous.  The event was witnessed by more than 3,500 people. Singers Sreenath, Kalpana and Preethi wowed the audience with hit numbers.''

It ended with Singari Melam, a percussion performance by the Thayambaka troupe.

The Friends of Salalah group includes Eapen Panakkal, Sunny Jacob, S Anilkumar, Meeran, Manoj D'Cruz and Prajeesh.

This group regularly organises cultural events in Salalah.
