(MENAFN - Arab Times) Assistant Undersecretary for IT Affairs at the Civil Service Commission Ahmed Al-Abduljalil applauded the role played by Kuwait Finance House (KFH) in the field of electronic upgrading, investment in technology, and cooperating with governmental bodies, which ensures smooth workflow and boosts performance. It is worth noting that an event was held to celebrate the launching of service that allows KFH employees to electronically apply for their sick leave

The event was attended by Systems Development Department Manager at the Civil Service Commission Sabeeka Al-Weqayyan, Human Resources and Public Services General Manager at KFH Zeyad Al-Omar, and employees from both sides. Al-Abduljalil stated that the private sector, represented by KFH, managed to take advantage of the electronic linking between the Civil Service Commission, KFH, and the Ministry of Health. He added that KFH excels in banking, investment, and financial development, in addition to human resources. He went on to stress the importance of this cooperation to develop human resources through technology, and said that the next phase will include private and governmental hospitals and clinics. Moreover, Al-Weqayyan explained that such a project would have never succeeded without the efforts of KFH that is considered to be a pioneer in development, and the Civil Service Commission

Meanwhile, Al-Omar expressed his hope that such efforts will continue to be exerted, and mentioned that the Civil Service Commission shoulders a pivotal role by overcoming financial, technical, and moral obstructions. He asked other institutions that seek to boost their human resources to follow in KFH footsteps in that field. He noted that KFH has advanced internal systems that serve its human resources, and grants them privileges, in order to improve productivity. He explained that the employee needs to enter the details of his sick leave and the diagnosis of the doctor on Oracle. After the leave is over, the employee can resume working without the need to log into the Oracle system to apply for a return from leave request that had to be approved by the employee's supervisor. KFH is the first private sector institution to allow its employees to log their sick leave electronically at government clinics through the Civil Service Commission
