(MENAFN- Arab Times) The National Guard denied on Saturday that two of its employees, caught ostensibly dealing in arms, were doing so selling arms that belonged to the Guard. National Guard spokesman Brigadier Muhammad Al-Farhan said in a press statement that news in the media about the arrest of a National Guard officer and a soldier who were caught dealing in weapons lacked accuracy, because "the weapons found with the accused did not belong to the arsenal of the National Guard whatsoever." He affirmed that all National Guard weapons and ammunitions were carefully guarded, using advanced monitoring systems to keep a close watch on them. Jihadist dies: The 31-year-old American freedom fighter - Eric Haron - known as the 'American Jihadist', who fought on the side of al-Qaeda affiliated group Al- Nusrah Front against the Syrian regime, died of drug overdose in Arizona, USA, reports Al-Rai daily.
