QOC Signs MoU with Georgian Counterpart


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) ilisi April 12 - Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) signed here today a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and cooperation agreement in the sports sector with its Georgian counterpart aims to achieve excellence in the world of sport at all levels through the exchange of knowledge and management and training expertize. The agreement was signed by Secretary General of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani with his Georgian counterpart . It covers the exchange of technical and administrative expertize between the sports federations and Olympic committees of the two countries as well as the exchange of visits and coordination of positions in various continental and international forums in sports domains. HE Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said the signing of the agreement confirms the depth of the relations between Qatar and Georgia and that it "will support sports partnership and will increase cooperation between the two sides ." HE Sheikh Saoud met with the Georgia's Minister of Sports to discuss the exchange of expertize in the areas of anti-doping sports camps and participation in tournaments and in the field of sports medicine
