(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) ha April 12 - Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry has confirmed that the investment climate in Turkey has encouraged many Qatari businessmen to direct more investments to that country taking advantage of the benefits offered by the Turkish government . This came in a speech of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry delivered by the Chamber's Board Member Mohamed Jawhar Al-Mohamed on behalf of the Qatari business community during the International Investment Summit hosted by the Turkish city of Istanbul Al-Mohamed said that the real estate and hotels sectors are the most prominent areas of Qatari investment in Turkey noting that many Qatari businessmen are working in real estate development in Turkey through the possession of land construction and purchase of hotels in touristic attractions. He explained that the State of Qatar and Turkey have been enjoying close political and economic ties strengthened by the signing of agreements on the development of economic exchange protection of investments and avoidance of double taxation as well as the many exchanged visits by senior officials of the two countries which have contributed to opening the doors wide for economic cooperation and joint investment . Al Mohamed said economic cooperation between the two countries is the banner headline for the development of their relations explaining that trade volume reached USD 1.3 billion in 2013 and indicating that the areas of cooperation between the two countries are many and varied including mutual investments education tourism and health sectors
