Hong Kong, Shanghai to strengthen market trading


(MENAFN) Stock markets of Hong Kong and Shanghai plan to boost cooperation ties through a cross-market trading agreement to open up the country"s capital markets and promote the yuan as an international unit, according to Oman Observer



The trial is expected to start over the following six months and allow investors to invest in designated shares, said the China Securities Regulatory Commission



Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said at the Boao Forum for Asia that the plan "will enable us to expand market access, foster a better business environment to unleash greater dividends of reform, spark social creativity and stabilise market expectations"



The agreement is also expected to open the doors to Chinese investors to make new investments
