While the police managed to arrest a 26-year-old emirati who was in an abnormal condition two others identified as a.s. and g.g.s. both aged 20 fled the scene in a car towards the main road. while a police vehicle chased them two officers blocked the road with their car and fired warning bullets to make them stop and surrender. however the suspects continued driving and knocked the officers down with their car and crashed the same into the police vehicle blocking their way.

They were finally forced to stop. they tried to escape again but were arrested. on searching their car the police found four swords and other sharp weapons.

In the meantime another emirati suspect identified as 25-year-old a.b.s. turned himself in to the police who also managed to arrest the iranian suspect from sharjah later.

Lt-colonel al matroushi said the police would not tolerate such violent activities threatening the lives of people and the security and stability of the society.

In the light of the incident the police launched a campaign in the emirate to confiscate weapons found in the hands of youths and urged parents to watch the activities of their children and prevent them from carrying weapons.
