(MENAFN- Kora) Up against the joint-leaders of their division minnesota showed they will be a force to be reckoned with in the nhl play-offs.


Rookie goaltender john curry made 43 saves on debut to set up the wild's victory while brodziak scored twice with nino niederreiter registering a goal and an assist as minnesota defeated st louis for the first time in 10 games.

St louis suffered their fourth defeat in a row and remain second in the central standings on 111 only behind leaders the colorado avalanche on head-to-head record.
