(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) ha April 10 - The Anti-Corruption and Rule of Law Centre in Doha concluded today five training sessions on financial investigations and recovery of funds during which judges prosecutors investigators and financial analysts from the Republic of Yemen received training. The Yemeni delegation visited the State of Qatar three times between November 2013 and April 2014 to participate in the training course at the Doha Anti-Corruption and Rule of Law Centre. The course which was designed by the U.S. Department of Justice in conjunction with the Centre focused on interactive exercises on how to track funds used in criminal or corruption schemes and to identify and recover them in order to pay damages to victims or concerned countries. The course's sessions were addressed by experts from the U.S. Department of Justice the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) the Anti-Corruption and Rule of Law Centre the World Bank and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) as well as experts from Yemen . The courses covered various topics including techniques of financial investigation money laundering international requests for legal assistance and the structure and function of the Financial Intelligence Unit along with the analysis of bank records asset management and interviewing techniques. The Anti-Corruption and Rule of Law Centre and the U.S. Department of Justice Department have worked together to host this course in recognition of the growing problem of transnational crime and the importance of cooperation between officials in the justice sector from all countries to combat the flow of illicit revenues
