Iran's inflation falls 5.7 percent in H2


(MENAFN) Iran's inflation rate fell by 5.7 percent in the last six months of the previous Iranian year, which ended on March 20, 2014, according to Tehran Times



The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) reported that the inflation rate of the country hit 34.7 percent in the last Iranian month Esfand compared to a month earlier



Iranian Finance and Economic Affairs Minister Ali Tayyebnia expects the country's inflation to drop below 15 percent in the current Iranian calendar year



Tayyebnia said: "If we succeed in continuing the current trend [of economic progress], the inflation rate will certainly reach below 15 percent.
