Israel Allows 440 Trucks into Gaza


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) za April 10 - The Israeli occupation authorities decided to open Thursday the Karam Abu Salem crossing to allow the entry of 440 trucks loaded with aids and goods for the commercial agricultural and transportation sectors and the export of one truck loaded with green spices for Europe. Head of the Coordination Committee for entry of goods in the Gaza Strip Raed Fattouh said that the Israeli side decided to allow the pumping of quantities of industrial diesel for Gaza power plant transportation fuel and cooking gas in addition to cement and construction iron for UNRWA projects. Earlier Wednesday the Israeli authorities opened the Karam Abu Salem crossing to allow the entry of 240 truckloads with aids and goods for the commercial agricultural and transportation sectors. Chairman of the Coordinating Committee of Gaza's Supplies Raed Fattouh said that the Israeli side decided also to allow the entry of Quantities of industrial diesel for Gaza power plant transportation fuel and cooking gas. Karam Abu Salem is the only commercial crossing through which goods and fuel enter the Gaza Strip and the occupation authorities close it on Friday and Saturday of each week
