(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Masagos Zulkifli, Senior Minister of State for Home Affairs and Foreign Affairs, Singapore visited the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF) Museum on Wednesday. Zulkifli toured various sections of the museum.
He was briefed on the manuscripts and models depicting the sultanate's history. The guest was also briefed about the history of Oman's military and the progress enjoyed by SAF under the rule of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
At the end of the tour, Zulkifli hailed the sultanate's rich ancient heritage and civilisation.
He also expressed his admiration for the way the exhibits were organised and preserved at the museum.
He was accompanied by Singapore's non-resident ambassador to the sultanate, consul general of Singapore to the sultanate and members of the accompanying delegation.
Zulkifli and his accompanying delegation also visited the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in the wilayat of Bausher where he was briefed about the history of the building.
He familiarised himself with models of Omani and Islamic architectures. The guest was also taken to various facilties at the mosque such as the Islamic Sciences Institute, the library and the lecture hall.
Zulkifli and his accompanying delegation also visited the Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM). The delegation toured the different facilities at ROHM during which they were briefed on the nature of shows presented and the equipment used.
Zulkifli and his accompanying delegation left the sultanate on Wednesday evening.
