Earnings of Qatari corporates increased 9.7 percent


(MENAFN) Earnings logged by Qatari listed companies surged 9.7 percent to a total of USD11.2 billion following increased earnings by 5 out of 7 sectors, the peninsula Qatar reported.



This growth was due to heavyweight banks and financial services sector which contributed with a 42.4 percent of the total earnings



Insurance companies also had a major part in this growth with a significant percentage of 214.3 increase compared to 2012



Investment Bank SICO claims that earnings of Qatari companies' will decline 7 percent in the beginning of 2014 compared to the same period of the previous year
