A rise of 9% in China's auto sales in March


(MENAFN) Due to delayed launches of new models ahead of the Beijing auto show, sales of China's passenger vehicle s increased 9 percent in March, Xinhua reported



Statics from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) show that a total of 1,588,792 cars, sport-utility or multi-purpose vehicles and minivans were sold in the month



As for the first quarter of the year, sales increased to a total percentage of 9.5 to reach 4.6 million vehicles sold.



"Passenger vehicle sales dropped a bit in the first week of March", they "gradually picked up until the boom in the final week when the Hangzhou government announced the purchase restrictions for new vehicles in the city", said the association's secretary-general
