(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) The population of fujairah went up by 5

An increase of 6773 was also recorded in the number of males in 2013 as compared to the preceding year.


The yearbook also states that the number of births last year rose to 3896 comprising 2015 males and 1881 females as against 3479 births in 2012. the number of deaths last year touched 289 as compared to 291 in 2012.


Dr ibrahim saad director of the fujairah statistics centre said the yarbook contains 15 sections on population demographic construction and building labour education culture social statistics health agriculture. the sections also contain industry internal and external trade transport communications tourism and environment.


Dr saad paid tribute to all federal and local government departments public and private institutions for their cooperation with the centre in the compilation of the yearbook.
