Egyptian Security Defuses 12 Bombs Found on Campus


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) iro April 08 - Egyptian security Tuesday tdefused 12 handmade bombs that were found on a campus of a university in Cairo. Egyptian Middle-East News Agency (MENA) reported today that Ain Shams University security alerted the authorities when they found 12 unidentified devices on campus. The bombs were planted in the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Computer Sciences buildings. A statement released from the Ministry of Interior said that its officers succeeded in defusing the bombs with no damages. A week ago three explosions took place at Cairo University killing one police officer and injuring five others according to official accounts. The government is currently debating whether or not to allow police presence inside university campuses in order to limit such threats
