S. Korea car exports at record in March

(MENAFN) South Korea's car exports increased significantly last month due to strong demand for high-priced models, Xinhua reported

A government report said that exports by carmakers in the country hit USD4.68 billion last month, the second highest figure in history

The country's ministry of Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said that the increased exports were due to strong demand for high-priced full-size cars and recreational vehicles (RV)

Domestic car sales surged 5.4 percent in the month to 138,230 units on the back of demand for foreign luxury cars and the launching of new models
