Japan logs USD6b current account surplus in Feb


(MENAFN) The government in Japan said that the February current account logged a surplus for the first time is five months, Xinhua reported



The country's Finance Ministry said that the current account deficit reached USD5.94 billion in February



The balance of goods, however, came to a deficit of USD5.17 billion, a ministry report said, adding that the deficit reduced from USD70.7 billion from the same month a year before



Japan's exports during the month surged 15.7 percent to USD57.62 billion, while imports increased 14.1 percent to USD62.80 billion
