A New Batch of Qatari Nursing Leaders Graduated


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) ha April 08 - The Supreme Counil Of Health (SCH) on Tuesday celebrated the graduation of the first batch of" leadership for change " for updating the leading and administrative skills of the qatari nurses and supportive health cadres. In a ceremony held here today under the patronage of HE Public Health Minister Abdullah Bin Khalid Al Qahtani a batch of 33 qatari female nurses was graduated after completing a two year leadership programme aiming to supply them with the state of the art knowledge and skills to improve quality of the health services rendered in the state and meeting the other critical challenges facing the health sector. The two year long programme includes workshops lectures and lessons explaining value of nursing and its effective contribution to providing new health care and affecting the health politices in addition to bringing about effective change administration and preparing the nurses to assume other roles in higher administration in nursing and health services . The leadership for change programme which the SCH launched in April 2013 comes compatible with the objectives of the National Health Strategy 20110 2016 which was based on the Qatar National Vision 2030 in collaboration with the International Council of Nursing and the Regional Office of the World Health Organization (WHO) for the Eastern Mediterranean region
