(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Bahwan Healthcare Centre (BHC) unveiled Sanipill, a pillow sanitising machine at Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel on Sunday.
The machine manufactured by Rack System, a company in Italy, sanitises pillows using ozone to oxidise and neutralise dust mites, bacteria, viruses, fungi and pollen particles.
Ozone, a natural gas with high disinfectant power is generated within the machine to sanitise pillows. The machine can also be used to sanitise blankets and other similar products. Sanipill will be particularly useful in hotels and hospitals, where pillows are used repeatedly for a large number of guests and patients.
It can also play an important role in airlines, cruise ships, resorts, residences, barracks and any other place where pillows and beds are used by multiple users.
''We are happy to unveil this unique product which has just been launched globally. It is very simple to work. You can put a maximum of four pillows inside the machine and close the cover. After the machine is switched on, it starts cleaning the pillows. When the cleaning is over, you hear a little beep sound indicating the process is over,'' an official from Rack System said. BHC is the exclusive sales, distribution and service partner of Sanipill for the entire Gulf region.
