(MENAFN - Arab News) Saudi food hotel hospitality show is set to be held from april 13 2014 at the jeddah center for forums and events

Highlighting the importance of jeddah as a key trading hub for food and tourism industry a large number of tourism officials and various top delegations are scheduled to attend the 19th edition of saudi food & hotel and hospitality claimed to be the kingdom's annual event for food beverages and catering hotel equipment supplies and services the in saudi arabia

Running until april 16 the show will host 400 exhibitors from turkey china egypt india indonesia italy malaysia jordan the united states and other local saudi companies

As part of its four-day format saudi food & hotel and hospitality show will host top chef & art de table contests jointly organized by ace and i level with the support of wacs-world association of chef societies sarca-saudi arabian chefs association euro toques nestle professional and al mashfa which will feature culinary skills of chefs from the finest hotels and restaurants and adjudicated by a panel of international experts

Saudi food hotel and hospitality arabia organized by al-harithy company for exhibitions (ace) comes at a time when the kingdom's food and hospitality industries are experiencing rapid growth as more prestigious properties and new hotels are built for the rising number of visitors touring saudi arabia every year

Saudi arabia's catering and hospitality industry is one of the kingdom's fastest growing sectors. 'the reasons are obvious. a growing population that will have doubled in size in two decades expansion of the domestic tourist industry and the development of the pilgrim market that will greatly contribute to the 88 million annual visitors by 2020" he said

According to him market sector is currently expanding by over 15 percent per annum; the health food market by 12 percent with fast-food due to exceed the 4.5 billion mark over the next three years and the packaged food sector growing by 5 percent with anticipated sales of 22 billion in 2014

The exhibition will be open for visitors daily from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
