Investments in young New Zealand businesses up 80 percent


(MENAFN) Young New Zealand businesses logged a record breaking investments from angel investors last year, Xinhua reported



The New Zealand Venture Investment Fund said that investments in young businesses in the country hit USD44.96 million in 2013



The investment increase, up 80 percent versus the figure of 2012, was due to a strong confidence in the technology and innovation sector



The investment fund's chief executive said: "Growing investor confidence in the New Zealand technology sector led to a marked surge in investment activity during the year, with software and services leading the charge.
