UAE- Islamic Liquidity Management Corporation board convenes

The governing board of the international islamic liquidity management corporation or iilm convened in its 12th meeting recently in abu dhabi.


Sultan bin nasser al suwaidi governor of the uae central bank chaired the meeting which discussed amongst others the iilm’s progress on the sukuk issuance programme and its financial performance for the financial year ended december 31 2013.


The iilm is an international institution established by central banks and multilateral organisations in kuala lumpur to develop and issue short-term shariah-compliant financial instruments. to date the iilm has issued sukuk with a total value equivalent to $1.35 billion.
