(MENAFN- Arab News) Police have arrested a wanted man who had robbed several shops in the capital in the past few weeks

'the suspect a saudi in his twenties had burgled several shops in the city wearing a face mask to conceal his identity" a police officer said adding that he has since confessed to his criminal activities.

Following his arrest the police found that the car a hyundai sonata which the suspect had been using was also a stolen vehicle.

It was revealed that the suspect had only stolen cash and telephone pre-paid cards from these shops.

The police in the east of riyadh spotted the accused at a check point but he managed to escape in his vehicle. security authorities however nabbed him subsequently. the accused will be produced before a court for sentencing.
