Oman holds joint naval exercise with Iran


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) A number of ships of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) left the Said bin Sultan Naval Base on Sunday for a joint search and rescue drill with Iranian naval forces in the Sea of Oman.


The exercise will continue till Monday, with assistance from the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) and ROP. The joint exercise comes on the sidelines of meetings of the Omani-Iranian Joint Military Friendship Committee being held in Muscat.
