Mozambique inflation up 0.9 percent in March


(MENAFN) The Mozambique National Statistics Institute (INE) said that inflation in the country increased at a faster pace in March, Xinhua reported.



The institute said that the inflation rate increased 0.91 percent last month, versus an increase of 0.39 percent in the month before it



The highest price increase was in foodstuffs. There was a significant surge of 3.1 percent in the prices of charcoal which is still used as cooking fuel in the country



Accumulated inflation in the year to March stands at 2.29 percent compared to 2.83 percent in the same three-month period a year earlier
