Kuwait- 506 liquor bottles seized


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Security operatives attached to Ahmadi Command apprehended an Asian man in possession of 124 bottles of liquor ready for sale. The officers were on regular patrol when they noticed the suspect's car and approached him for questioning. To their surprise, he alighted from the car and started running. The officers managed to chase and arrest him. He was referred with the illicit items to the concerned authorities



Meanwhile, security operatives attached to the Ahmadi Security Command, under the watch of Ahmadi Security Chief Major General Ayedh Al-Otaibi, organized an intensive campaign and arrested two Asians in possession of 382 bottles of liquor ready for sale, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. Major General Al-Otaibi directed his officers to mount checkpoints at strategic locations within the governorate as part of his efforts to rid the area of illicit activities. During one of such campaigns, the officers suspected a car parked in an open sandy area at Mahboula. The officers approached the car and found two Asians inside it. However, the Asians took to their heels at the sight of the officers. They were chased and arrested after which the officers conducted a search inside their car and found bottles of liquor. The suspects with the contraband were referred to the concerned authority for legal procedure



Moroccan wife's car on fire: A drunken Kuwaiti citizen was arrested for setting the vehicle of his Moroccan wife on fire, which in turn caused damages to four vehicles parked nearby in Riggae area, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to security sources, the Moroccan woman informed securitymen of Andalous Police Station that her Kuwaiti husband ran away after setting her vehicle on fire in front of her building. After a while, securitymen received another call from the woman, informing that her husband has returned. Securitymen rushed to the location and arrested the suspect, who was still in a drunken state. He was detained in police custody to be referred to the Public Prosecution. Meanwhile, unknown individuals are reported to have vandalized four police cars and stolen items from the cars at the parking lot of Hawalli Security command, while the officers were busy outside protecting life and property, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. The officers were taken aback when they returned from the patrols and discovered the cars have been vandalized with the contents stolen. They could not determine the perpetrators because there were no CCTV cameras at the scene. They wondered how the suspects had mustered courage to perpetrate unspeakable act within the police premises. Investigation is ongoing to nab the perpetrators
