Canada's jobless rate down to 6.9 percent


(MENAFN) The unemployment rate in Canada dropped last month due to gains among youths, Xinhua reported



Statistics Canada said that the rate fell to 6.9 percent in March as employment increased by 43,000



The number of people working in the country increased by 190,000 versus March last year, stating that in the year, employment and the number of hours worked grew at the same pace of 1.1 percent



Overall youth unemployment rate remained at 13.6 percent as more youths could not to break into the labor market
