(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) A 29-year-old chauffeur allegedly teamed up with a ?serial car stealer? and stole the key of his employer?s villa to sneak off with the latter?s four-wheel drive car worth dh215000

The pakistani chauffeur identified as h.s. now faces a robbery charge along with two alleged accomplices.

Of the two one is a 33-year-old pakistani identified as o.k. who reportedly told police during interrogation that he had stolen several other cars. the third is a 37-year-old syrian.
the robbery occurred on oct 12 according to the owner of the car an indian businessman. the 53-year-old told police the car had been parked outside his villa in hor-al-anz in al muraqqabat.

In the morning when he was ready to go to work the car was found to be missing.

Suspicion fell on h.s. who used to drive the car and had left the country one week after the robbery.

Acting on a tip-off police also arrested the “serial car stealer” who admitted that he had taken the car and villa gate keys from h.s. and duplicated them.
the first time they tried to steal the car the attempt failed because of a technical problem with one of the keys.

However around 3am on oct 12 they managed to open the gate and steal the car which h.s. then drove to ajman.

O.k. reportedly told police he sold the car in ajman to a man for dh 50000. h.s. reportedly got dh 33000.

The syrian is denying involvement saying he was not aware that the pair was going to steal the car when he went with them to the villa. however o.k. told the police he too was involved and was to get a part of the money for his help.
