(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) As many as 29 people lost their lives in 470 traffic accidents in dubai in the first two months of this year according to the most recent statistics released by the police

The statistics showed that 39 people suffered serious injuries 113 moderate injuries and 222 minor in these accidents and the injured included 39 drivers116 passengers and 69 pedestrians.


Making a sudden turn caused the most number of accidents at 110 and led to seven deaths and 85 injuries followed by not leaving enough space which led to five deaths and injuries to 71 people.


Entering the road without giving attention to other road users led to 41 accidents that resulted in one death and 39 injuries speeding caused 40 accidents and two deaths reckless driving led to three deaths in accidents driving cars under the influence of alcohol caused 35 accidents and led to one death while jumping the red signal caused 27 accidents. one accident was caused by a tyre burst and resulted in one death.


The statistics showed that in the first two months 61 hit accidents took place and resulted in nine deaths and injuries to 56 people — 10 of them serious.male drivers caused 366 accidents that resulted in 27 deaths.
