(MENAFN - Arab News) Flynas saudi arabia's national carrier is participating as a gold sponsor at the saudi travel and tourism investment market 2014 (sttim 2014) which opened in riyadh with the support of riyadh gov. prince khaled bin bandar who is also the chairman of the tourism development council

The opening ceremony was attended by prince sultan bin salman president of the supreme commission for tourism and antiquities (scta) at the riyadh international convention and exhibition and the event will continue until april 4 bringing together specialized private and public sector companies from the tourism and travel industry in the kingdom. during the opening ceremony flynas was recognized for supporting and participating in the weeklong event

The event which is in its 7th year is themed 'a partnership toward sustainable development" featuring 5 key scientific sessions and a series of workshops run by local and international experts who will address key topics related to the tourism industry

The riyadh governor and the scta president visited the flynas pavilion following the official ceremony where flynas was recognized as a gold sponsor during the tourism excellence awards ceremony which announced the leading companies and organizations working in the saudi tourism industry

Flynas director of marketing & communications wael al-sarhan expressed his delight in sponsoring the important event this year stating: 'this forum allows us to exchange information and experience with local and global experts in the travel and tourism industry. it also gives us an opportunity to meet with all visitors sharing our new services and key values which revolve around availing smart choices to our customers wanting to travel from and to the kingdom.

Al-sarhan stated that flynas' participation as a gold sponsor of sttim 2014 is one of the airline's many initiatives to encourage tourism in the kingdom.
