China's foreign debt hits USD863.2 b in 2013


(MENAFN) China's State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE) said that its foreign debt was estimated at USD863.2 billion in 2013, according to Qatar News Agency



Figures reported by SAFE showed higher rates than reported in 2012 with 17 percent rise



The country's foreign debt was estimated at USD526.7 billion while the balance of trade credit between businesses hit USD336.5 billion



Short-term debt, defined as debt with a term of one year or less, makes up 78 percent of the total.
