Trade between Chinese mainland, Taiwan up 5 percent


(MENAFN) The Chinese Ministry of Commerce said that bilateral trade between Taiwan and the mainland registered a decrease in the first two months of 2014, Xinhua reported



The ministry said that trade between the two hit USD26.71 billion in the two months, going down 8 .3 percent from the corresponding period a year before



The mainland exported 5.2 percent more to Taiwan at USD5.61 billion, while imports from Taiwan hit USD21.2 billion, increasing 11.3 percent year-on-year



During the period, 234 Taiwanese investment projects were approved at a total value of USD460 million
