New car sales in Spain up 10 percent in March


(MENAFN) New car sales in Spain surged 10 percent last month versus the corresponding month a year earlier, Xinhua reported



The number of car purchases in the country hit 79,929 last month, increasing from 72,678 purchases in March, 2013



Purchases made by individual and firms increased 27.9 percent and 24.3 percent, respectively. Purchases by individuals reached 37,413 units, while firms made 19,052 new purchases



In the first quarter of this year, new car sales reached 202,128 vehicles, increasing 11.8 percent against the same period a year ago when sales stood at 180,725
