UK manufacturing PMI drops in March


(MENAFN) The UK manufacturing purchasing managers' index (PMI) fell from 56.2 in February to 55.3 last month, Xinhua reported



Survey compiler Markit said that the figure marks the lowest since July and considerably lower than market estimates consensus of 56.7



Markit added that the manufacturing PMI remained higher than its average of 51.4 despite the drop in March



The country's manufacturers output increased for 12 months on the back of rising levels of incoming new orders
