(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) BankDhofar was the gold sponsor at the recently held second Taqah festival in the Dhofar Governorate.


This sponsorship is within the framework of ongoing quest to highlight the potential of the youth who are the backbone of our nation, and show the potential that will be exhibited during the festival. The festival was held under the patronage of H E Sheikh Bakheit Said Mohammed Al Kutheiri, Governor of Taqah.


It was attended by a large number of high level dignitaries and citizens of the governorate and included many cultural, sporting, entertaining and religious events as well as highlighting the traditional handicrafts, industries, arts, entrepreneurship, women and children and information on the rural and marine life, such as the traditional boat race, the final leg of beach soccer for universities and colleges and many other cultural events.


Ahmed Said al Ibrahim, DGM, government banking and branding, said, "We are proud to be part of this national festival. This festival is a great avenue to promote Oman's tourism and gives an opportunity for the citizens and visitors to celebrate together. We at BankDhofar always strive to be the customers' first choice of all banking and solutions and our aim is to be the first choice for customers, and we hope that we have become closer to our customers through participation in this festival.''


During the festival, the bank conducted the weekly draw of RO20,000 and the daily draw of RO2,000 as part of BankDhofar's popular savings scheme. These schemes aim to encourage saving habits and reward the customers with fabulous prizes to increase the number of winners to a grand total of 270 by the end of the year.


Customers falling under the youth & student and Al Riadah categories have double and triple the chances to win respectively, just by maintaining a minimum of RO100 in their account for a minimum of one week duration. BankDhofar is one of the fastest growing banks and is known for its innovation of banking solutions designed to meet customers' needs. The bank is also known for its initiatives in adopting best worldwide banking practices in terms of using tools and electronic channels.
