Asian shares pick up on optimism

Asian shares picked up Wednesday and the regional gauge is heading towards its sixth straight daily gain on optimism spread in the market after data showed an increase in the U.S. ISM manufacturing. The MSCI Asia Pacific Index rose 0.6% to record 139.14 as if 10:39 in Tokyo.

Today`s fundamentals gave a sign of gradual improvement in the U.S. manufacturing sector, especially after Fed`s Yellen speech. Yellen said the central bank’s unprecedented easing will still be needed for “some time” to help the labor market that is seeing a”considerable slack”.

Japan`s Topix index climbed 1.3%, after yen dropped against dollar for the fourth day, while Hong Kong`s Hang Seng picked up 0.4%. South Korea`s Kospi index inclined 0.2% and Australia`s S&P/ASX 200 index rose 0.2%, while New Zealand`s NZX 60 index slid 0.1%.
