Qatar's foreign trade surplus up 2.2 percent in Feb


(MENAFN) The foreign trade surplus in Qatar increased 2.2 percent last month versus the same month a year earlier, The Peninsula Qatar reported



The country's Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics said that the trade surplus hit USD9.6 billion in the month



Total exports of goods, which include exports of domestic origin and re-exports, hit USD11.88 billion, increasing 2.6 percent when compared to the corresponding month a year before



Imports in January amounted to USD2.2 billion, surging 4.5 percent from January last year
