(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The first Qatar International Exhibition of Medical Devices and Healthcare will be held from March 9 to 11 next year at Qatar National Convention Centre.
The exhibition, under the patronage of Qatar Chamber, is expected to be attended by over 150 medical manufacturers and healthcare services providers from more than 30 countries across the world
Doha-based Sogha Exhibitions and Conferences (www.sogha.net) in partnership with London- based co-organiser ExCo Media Limited (www.excomedia.co.uk) has announced the event.
Khalifa Al Mohannadi, General Manager, Sogha Exhibitions and Conferences, told a press conference yesterday that participating companies will be from the Middle East and Africa, Europe, North America, South America, Asia and the Pacific.
He said Qatar has become an attraction point for global medical and healthcare services companies due to the increasing awareness of patents in the country and its eagerness to get medical services from the best hospitals in the world
"The exhibition will attract manufacturers, distributors, suppliers and professionals in the health sector.
It will provide an opportunity to meet and interact with leading manufacturers. It will also be an excellent opportunity for local companies seeking to offer high quality products at competitive prices marked as 'Made in Qatar' by building alliances and joint ventures with international companies to attract the best technologies in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors
"It is a delight to gather so many important companies under one roof which shows Qatar's commitment to the health sector," he added
The exhibition will present a 'Blue Zone' dedicated to diabetes. It is being introduced for the first time in a Qatar medical and health exhibition which focuses on diabetes. This is because Qatar is one of top countries in the world and the Middle East with a high number of diabetics
"To support and focus on this health problem in Qatar, the exhibition is creating 'Blue Zone' where medical and healthcare companies can help the Qatari health market resolve the issue in the long-term," he added
