Liverpool Go Top with Tottenham Thrashing

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Liverpool climbed to the top of the Premier League table Saturday with six games to go with a comfortable victory over Tottenham 4-0. Younes Kaboul ensured it was a horror start for Tottenham as the defender scored an own goal in as early as the 2nd minute to give Liverpool the lead. Another mistake, this time by his partner Dawson, allowed Premier League's leading goal scorer Luis Suarez through on goal to score his 29th goal for Liverpool in the Premier League this season. The goal is a landmark for Liverpool because it meant that the Uruguayan has scored more goals in one season than any other Liverpool player ever could in the history of the Premier League. Suarez is also two goals short from holding the record for scoring the most goals in a premier league season. Liverpool's other two goals came courtesy of Coutinho in the 55th minute and Jordan Henderson in the 75th minute. Both goals came from shots from outside the area. The win puts Liverpool top with 71 points from 32 matches played, two points ahead of Chelsea. They are also four points ahead of Manchester City, albeit with two games more
